F-695 Autoclavable pH Electrode

The metric FermProbe is now available with a different cap style, the "K9". Together with the traditional connector, this K9 connector cap expands the Broadley-James’ offering to make it completely compatible with any existing system, regardless of the installed cable type. The K9 metric cap eliminates the need for cable adapters. It also has fewer crevices to retain moisture and therefore can be autoclaved without using the autoclave cap.

Metric FermProbe pH Electrodes

This FermProbe style features a metric Pg13.5 threaded polymer cap that allows it to be used with European style electrode housings. Autoclavable as well as steam sterilizable, this style of pH FermProbe is the first choice for use with small autoclavable benchtop vessels. Available only in the disconnect cap style. Cables must be ordered separately.

Choose Electrode Model

If the electrode needs to fit an existing cable, check cable connector. If it has a female connection, an F-695 or F-895 FermProbe is required. Another guideline is to note the connector’s color. If the cable connector is red or orange, use the F-695 or F-895 FermProbe.

Benchtop Applications

The electrode length is from the base of the cap to the tip of the electrode (the glass part of the electrode).

SIP Tank Applications

If you have already chosen an electrode housing, select an electrode length with the same Class designation as the housing. The housing ordering information box also lists the correct electrode length to order. If you have not already chosen the housing, please review the recommendations next to each electrode model below.

Model F-695 pH electrodes require disconnect cable and connector assemblies (see Accessories tab for recommended cables).

Recommended Housings

The F-695 pH Electrode has a metric Pg13.5 threaded polymer cap allowing it to be used with European style housings. We would recommend the following Broadley-James sensor housings for use with the Model F-695 FermProbe^® autoclavable pH electrode:

• Model 335 Guarded Sensor Housing – Standard 25mm (Pg 13.5), typical vessel insertion lengths 52mm & 128mm
• Model 325 Unguarded Sensor Housing – Standard 25mm (Pg 13.5), typical vessel insertion lengths 37mm & 113mm
• Model 346 Sensor Unguarded Housing – Sartorius Safety Port 25 mm (Pg13.5), typical vessel insertion length 25mm
• Model 356 Sensor Guarded Housing – Sartorius Safety Port 25 mm (Pg13.5), typical vessel insertion length 40mm
