BioNet System Overview
The BioNet Bioreactor Control System, a cost effective solution for the cell culture and microbial bioreactor suite, has the ability to network and control up to 20 Bioreactors with one Controller. This system takes advantage of the latest advances in industrial automation and process control, resulting in more precise management of the bioprocess application. Additional benefits include expanded data acquisition, batch management, and data historian all in a system proven to be validatable and compliant with 21 CFR Part 11.

Features & Benefits

Digital Network
Network and manage a large number of bioreactors using technology developed for production scale facilities. A single BioNet Controller can run a full suite of networked Utility Towers.

Digital Transmission
Digital transmission of all measurement data (pH, Dissolved Oxygen, Temperature, Pump Speed, Agitation Speed, and Flow Rates) results in greater measurement precision and minimizes deviation from optimum process conditions.

21 CFR 11 Compliant
Electronic Signature Support enables compliance with the FDA’s 21 CFR Part 11 Requirements.

Compatible User Interface
Universally compatible interface enables the BioNet Utility Tower to be used with bioreactors from different manufacturers.

DeltaV Enabled Controller
Industry-proven DeltaV™ control solutions enable the BioNet system and are widely utilized for large scale bioprocess manufacturing applications.

Transferable Control Logic
Control logic developed and tested at the benchtop can be readily applied to DeltaV™-enabled production scale applications. All operators use the same skill set to develop and troubleshoot the process.

Automated Gas-Mixing System
Digital measurement and valve control of gas mixtures, using mass flow controllers automated gas-mixing systems, bring this critical parameter under precision control.

Ease of Installation & Maintenance
Digital features reduce labor needed for initial installation, commissioning new equipment, maintaining calibration logs, updating maintenance records, or acquisition of process data.

Scalable Architecture
A great advantage of the BioNet System is its software and hardware scalability and the way it integrates with most of the industry leading legacy distributed control system (DCS) solutions.

Enable Process Analysis & Optimization
The standard configuration package includes Data Historian and Trending which allow the operator to do analysis and monitoring of the process conditions. An optional Batch package allows for Batch History and Batch-to-Batch Comparison to determine process repeatability.
