| The Model 380 housing threads directly into the top plate of older benchtop and pilot scale vessels with 3/4" DIN threaded access. It will replace the vessels original compression fittings. This housing accepts the metric Fermprobes® and D140 and D145 OxyProbes®. Different housing lengths are available to accommodate the desired insertion depth of the probe. The short housing with 50 mm guide is the most common for both pH and D.O. sensors. However, if sensor breakage is a concern, the longer housing is often used to protect the glass body of pH electrodes. |

316L stainless steel construction. How to select the correct housing (2) Determine which type of sensor will be used, pH or D.O. The Model 380 housing will accept any probe with a Pg13.5 threaded cap. (3) If the housing is to be used with a D140 or D145 OxyProbe, the short housing with 50 mm guide tube is the best choice. Skip to #5 to determine the sensor length. (4)If measuring pH, determine whether the application will permit the use of a bulb guard on the housing. The bulb guard is highly recommended for all applications except when the media is very viscous. Highly viscous media is prone to clog the guard. (5) Determine how far the housing and sensor should extend into the vessel by answering each of the following questions. When the answer is no to all, the correct length has been selected. |
