CONTROLS ENGINEER

Job Description:

• Responsible for writing GAMP5 Technical specification documents; such as FAT, SAT, and FS.
• Functions as a troubleshooter and provides technical support to Help Desk and field technician staff
• Performs system analysis, improvement, scoping studies, front-end design work, and/or collaborates on designs with contractors and consultants.
• Develops, maintains, and optimizes Control Systems implementations including operation & maintenance procedures.
• Monitors and identifies malperforming instruments impacting control loop performance. Assists Project Engineers and develops new control schemes.

CONTROLS PROGRAMMER

Job Description:

The Controls Programmer designs, configures, and tests DeltaV control system applications for use in Life Sciences applications.  He/she also engages in proposal generation and estimating activities, consulting and sales activities.  The Controls Programmer also facilitates the start-up of new BioNet™ Systems, based on Emerson DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCSs) at customer sites domestically and abroad.

• Takes customer data (I/O list, P&IDs, control narratives, HMI sketches, instrument
  databases, loop sheets and other customer information) and utilizes it for designing
  control strategies.
• Generates Functional Detailed Design Specifications incorporating control descriptions and strategies.
• Assists in Proposal Generation/Estimating, Consulting and Sales Activities.
• Reviews customer RFQs from a technical standpoint and identifies items for clarification
  and documents assumptions made for use in the proposal.
• Facilitates the start-up of systems and assists in training at customer sites.
