| 1) Who manufactures the BioNet Controllers? The BioNet Controllers are manufactured by Broadley-James at our facilities in Southern California. 2) What role does the DeltaV play in the BioNet Controller? We utilize the DeltaV Controller from Emerson Process Management as the sole control platform for BioNet. 3) How many Bioreactors/Fermentors can the BioNet Controller manage? A single DeltaV enabled BioNet Controller can manage up to 16 Bioreactors/Fermentors. In addition, BioNet Controllers can be sequenced to control several hundred Bioreactors/Fermentors. 4) Is the DeltaV enabled BioNet Controller competitive with the Proprietary and PLC based Controllers from the competition? Yes. The DeltaV enabled BioNet Controller has far more capabilities than even the most capable control platform from the competition. In addition, the price position of the BioNet Controller is within +/- 5% of the cost of these less capable control solutions. 5) Is the DeltaV inside the BioNet Controller a “DeltaV Lite”? No, the DeltaV inside the BioNet Controller is the same as the ones running the industries largest Pharmaceutical and Biotech manufacturing facilities. 6) Is a DeltaV Control System from your competition just as capable as the BioNet Control System? No, not all DeltaV solutions are created equal. While some of our competitors do provide DeltaV solutions when required it is not their emphasis. Most often they provide DeltaV only after their Proprietary and PLC controllers have been dismissed by the End-User. The result is a less capable DeltaV at a high cost. In contrast, DeltaV is our only control platform and as such we have implemented substantial advancements and reduced costs. We are also the only manufacturer with a team of former Emerson Process Management Systems professionals on staff to ensure continuous improvements. 7) Does the DeltaV enabled BioNet Controller offer advanced control functionality? Yes, the DeltaV enabled BioNet Controller does offer advanced control functionality such as Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, Virtual Sensors, Model Predictive Control, Auto Tuning and more... 8) How is the BioNet Controller installed? The BioNet Controller resided in a 316 S.S. enclosure that can be wall mounted, stand on a benchtop or placed on a shelf. It is also available in a panel mounted version for installation in existing enclosures. The BioNet Controller needs to be installed within 100 meters of the Bioreactors/Fermentors without the use of a repeater. While with the use of repeaters this distance can be increased to several thousand meters. |
